Aviv Rothschild Center
Rothschild Boulevard — the Heart of the City of Tel Aviv
Rothschild Boulevard is one of Tel Aviv’s most central and beautiful boulevards. Over the years, Rothschild Boulevard has established its status as Tel Aviv’s business, cultural, and historic center. The Neve Tzedek neighborhood lies at one end of the Boulevard, and the Habima Theatre and Heichal Hatarbut (the Center of Culture) are at the other end. There are a wide range of restaurants, up-to-date cafés, hotels, and fashionable entertainment venues around the luxury office buildings, turning the Boulevard into a lively urban center of commercial, social, and cultural activity.
Aviv Rothschild Center — A Business Center in the Heart of the City of Tel Aviv
The Aviv Group has set itself the task of building the most prestigious and high quality business center in the Rothschild Boulevard area. The selected location is considered the most sought after for business buildings. The complex will incorporate three parts:
- The business tower — a prestigious, 24-story office tower with a view of the sea and the urban landscape, which will be home to the leading companies in the economy.
- Bachar House — the original building is designated for meticulous conservation and will offer a unique space enjoying a combination of the old and nostalgic. Incorporating a boutique hotel, prestigious restaurant, or a showroom for one of the world’s leading brand names. The conservation of Bachar House is being presided over by architect Amnon Bar Or, who is the signatory to the best restorations of Tel Aviv’s historic buildings.
- The Atrium — the business tower and Bachar House will be integrated using a modern glass atrium rising to impressive heights, and combining old and new, inside and outside. The tower lobby in this space will contain an exclusive café for getting together and hosting residents and guests. The famous architect Moshe Tzur has been entrusted with planning the tower and atrium.
The Highest Standards
The Aviv Rothschild Center tower will be 24 stories tall. Each floor has modern, clever planning for its offices, created by the Aviv Group’s best architects and most experienced engineers. The construction is notable for its stringent standards of prestigious design and quality, for the environmental expanse of both the building and the offices.
Bachar House — A Commercial Pioneer in the Land of Israel
Bachar House is the home of the Bachar family who immigrated to Palestine in 1890 from Philopolis in Bulgaria. Over time the family established its status and opened a chain of retail stores. In 1922 the Bachar brothers, all traders, united and built Bachar House, in the heart of the then central commercial area, at the corner of Lilienblum and Nahalat Binyamin Streets. Bachar House, which has known over 80 years of business trade, is today the basis for the Aviv Rothschild Center project.
The Masterpiece of Magidowitz, Master of Architecture
Bachar House was designed by the legendary architect Yehuda Leib Magidowitz. Magidowitz was Tel Aviv’s first town planner from 1920 to 1923. He worked as an architect in Tel Aviv during the 1920s and 1930s. During those years he built hundreds of buildings that significantly influenced the city’s architectural character. His famous buildings in the city include, as well as Bachar House, the Great Synagogue in Allenby Street, the Galei Aviv Casino, the Ben-Nahum Hotel, the Esther Cinema, and Levin House at 46 Rothschild Boulevard (the Russian Embassy building).
